The National Law School of India University is an institution for undergraduate and graduate legal education in India. Set up in 1987, the University set the trend of integrated 5 year B.A., LL.B. courses in India. By popular estimates, NLS consistently ranks as the most prestigious law school in India. Acknowledging the contribution it has made to the discipline of law in such a short span of time, it is sometimes also referred to as the Harvard of the East. NLS cultivates not only the best legal minds, but also prides itself on enabling its students to develop skills pertaining to not just advocacy and legal reform, but also in various literary and cultural spheres, and its encouragement of initiative and leadership skills.
The Cultural and Fine Arts Committee is a student-run committee of the National Law School of India University. The Committee organizes various intra and inter-college events throughout the year, in order to provide students from different disciplines a platform to showcase their talents. For the promotion of and creating awareness about Indian cultural heritage, we also host a number of cultural performances by renowned artists throughout the year, in collaboration with SPIC MACAY.
We take pride in being the organizer of two extensive annual inter-college cultural events: LeGala, the Literary and Cultural festival; and Admit One, the theatre festival.
